Sarah’s journey in helping others navigate life's challenges began with an undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University followed by a Masters degree in Mental Health and Clinical Counseling from Colorado Christian University. She has been devoted to empowering individuals, couples, and families through non-profit work for over fifteen years. She sees the best in each person she works with and is committed to creating space for self-discovery and growth. Sarah aims to create a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. Sarah will support the inclusion of your spirituality into therapy upon request. She provides holistic bio-psycho-social-spiritual treatment to help people thrive personally and relationally. Sarah has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples.

Sarah is an eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) trained counselor, which allows you to delve into trauma-related issues and their impact on your life. Additionally, she draws from various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), attachment theory, emotionally focused therapy (EFT), Gottman couples and relationship therapy, and solution-focused and Internal Family Systems (IFS), tailoring sessions to meet your unique needs. No matter where you are in life's journey, she will help you find clarity, resilience, and hope.

Sarah feels grateful to have grown up in the following National Parks: Hawaii Volcanos, Cape Cod National Seashore, and Rocky Mountain National Park. She has lived in New Mexico, California, Michigan, Indiana, Georgia, and Colorado as an adult. Living in many places has provided new experiences, fresh starts, adaptability, and problem-solving skills while creating seasons of loss, stress, and disruption. She enjoys dates with her husband of twenty-five years, time with her children, coffee with friends, contemplative prayer, humor, playfulness, learning new things, movement, time in nature, art, and trying different foods. She loves to travel and experience the beauty of other cultures.
