Meet Steve Stinnett

Graduate-level Clinical Practicum Intern, Military Veteran, Entrepreneur, & Outdoor Enthusiast

Steve sees appointments in our Fort Collins office.

Steve is a compassionate and dedicated graduate-level clinical practicum intern committed to helping others navigate life’s challenges, heal past wounds, and rediscover their sense of purpose. In counseling he provides a safe and supportive space to explore your unique story and foster meaningful personal growth. He understands that seeking therapy can feel intimidating, particularly for men who may approach the process with hesitation or skepticism. He aims to create an empathetic and nonjudgmental environment where you feel truly seen and heard. Together with you Steve builds a collaborative and trusting therapeutic relationship that serves as the foundation for transformative progress. His approach is holistic and eclectic, meaning he tailors therapy to your unique needs by drawing from a variety of evidence-based methods. Whether it’s using mindfulness-based cognitive therapy to cultivate present-moment awareness or narrative therapy to help you re-author your life story, his goal is to meet you where you are and support your journey toward lasting well-being.

Before pursuing a career in mental health, Steve proudly served in the military and ran successful businesses. These experiences shaped his perspective and enable him to bring a practical, solution-focused approach to counseling that resonates with clients. Outside of work he’s an outdoor enthusiast who finds healing and inspiration in nature’s profound ability to nurture mental and emotional health. You don’t have to face life’s challenges alone. Working with Steve you will cultivate resilience, embrace your strengths, and create a life of purpose and fulfillment.
