Cultural Resume

  • I have a lived experience of an eating disorder, carceral inpatient treatment, and traumatic grief.

  • I benefit from inherent privilege. I am a white citizen, able and thin bodied, cisgendered, and relatively neurotypical. I identify as a bisexual woman in a heterosexual relationship.

  • I grew up in a military, Lutheran household with deeply rooted values of misogyny, transphobia, fatphobia, spiritual bypass, and white supremacy. Marked with mental illness and geographical displacement.

  • I am on a continued journey to actively unpack my privilege and act as an ally and activist for historically marginalized communities.

  • Tremendous gratitude to The Adaway Group for first introducing our practice to the notion of a cultural resume.
